Call Surfer Boy Pizza Now to Place Your “Stranger Things” Order!

Must Read

Description:No promises on pizza delivery.

Brief news:

A youthful stoner and his ever-optimistic Surfer Boy Pizza van are two of the unsung heroes of Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 4. Eduardo Franco does a great job as the new pizza boy, Argyle, who brings some lightheartedness to the story during its bleak final moments.

Fans have just discovered one of the show’s Easter eggs by claiming that a phone number displayed on the side of his delivery van connects to Surfer Boy Pizza. (Does Murray (Brett Gelman) have the recipe for that delicious risotto he makes?)

Fans of Stranger Things were taken on a cross-country adventure in Season 4, traveling from rainy Hawkins, Indiana to sunny Los Angeles. The show’s new setting allowed it to explore a different side of the 1980s, one that included vibrant colors and the rise of the “burnout” subculture, in contrast to the more subdued atmosphere of rural Hawkins and its growing Satanic Panic.

Argyle, a worker at Surfer Boy Pizza, is befriended by Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton) and plays the role of the wise, foggy philosopher from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Franco’s character quickly became a fan favorite due to his laid-back manner (until soldiers burst through Jonathan’s door) and moments of emotional clarity.

Fans of the Netflix series Stranger Things who have seen every episode in its entirety may have noticed a phone number on the side of the delivery van that Argyle uses to transport the Byers family. Someone managed to catch the 805-45-PIZZA despite his rubber-burning, curb-hopping driving.

Those who have dialed the number claim that it leads them to the California pizzeria, and that Argyle, one of the Surfer Boys, is the one who answers the phone. All business, Argyle puts the caller on hold while he gives his coworker the details of a “very precise, like strange specific” order, including the four pieces of white mozzarella and the one piece of blue cheese:

“Argyle here from Surfer Boy Pizza. At Surfer Boy, we create everything from scratch, except for the pineapple, which comes from a can; however, you should still add some of that luscious pineapple nonetheless.”
