Description:The new TV show updates the suspenseful original from 1987.

Brief news:

Another actor has joined the cast of Fatal Attraction, an upcoming original series on Paramount+. In a pivotal recurring role, Deadline reports that Wanda De Jesus (Sons of Anarchy) will be included.

Her character, Marcella Leyva, is a district attorney known as “an outstanding lawyer and political animal.”

The remake of the 1987 psychological thriller starring Glenn Close as Alex Forrest, Michael Douglas as Dan Gallagher, and Anne Archer as Beth Gallagher was directed by Adrian Lyne (Deep Water).

Douglas plays a married lawyer who has an affair with Close’s character, who refuses to recognize that the relationship is finished.

She starts stalking him and his loved ones after that. The new Paramount+ series will update the story by looking at it “through the perspective of modern perceptions regarding strong women, personality disorders, and coercive control,” among other topics.

Starring Lizzy Caplan (Castle Rock, Masters of Sex), Joshua Jackson (Dr. Death), and Amanda Peet, among others, De Jesus (CSI: Miami, All My Children) joins the cast (Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story).

Caplan will play Alex Forrest, Jackson will be Dan Gallagher, and Peet will play Dan’s wife Beth. Reno Wilson (Good Girls) will play Detective Earl Booker, Brian Goodman (Rizzoli & Isles) will play Dan and Beth’s friend and business partner Arthur Tomlinson, and Toby Huss (Halt and Catch Fire) will play the District Attorney’s chief of investigations Mike Gerard.
